Day 29: Ghostly Riddles

 I slept in a bit today. Then I went to the gym and took a dip in the pool before the weight lifting competition. I did horribly.

By that time it was after 5pm. Uncle Hayseed's is closer to the gym than my house, so I went there for a bite to eat and a quick nap. Once I woke up I headed back to the spooky house to try my hand at those ghost riddles again. I got stuck on the fourth riddle again, but I made a guess. I got it correct.

The final riddle was "When I am filled I can point the way. When I am empty, nothing moves me. I have two skins. One without and one within. What am I? I got that one right on the first try.

At that point he was ready to talk. I gave him the urn. He said this was enough to give him peace. I didn't expect a reward, but he gave me one. He said I could have anything from his cellar. He had some interesting items. An Egyptian sarcophagus, a crystal ball table, what looked like a carnivorous plant, and a suit of armor. I gazed into the crystal ball and felt energized, but he said anything, so I ended up taking everything. 

At that point it was 4am. The general store opened in an hour, so I just waited there to see if they had any toilets in stock. They did not. I didn't let that bring me down, though. I sold everything I grabbed from the cellar except that crystal ball table, then headed to my uncle's to get some sleep. I should have enough now to pay Lottie that pizza entrance fee, so I'll do that after I get some shut eye.
