Yesterday I arrived in Sim Valley. My uncle has a farm there, and agreed to let me stay for awhile. Not for free though, I have to work to earn my keep.
We chatted for a bit, got caught up, and then I gave him the family album. It's always fun looking through it. Uncle Hayseed let me in so I could nap, shower, and grab a bite to eat. When I got up from the nap he said I could take the stuff from his back yard and take it into the barn for myself. Now that I've settled a bit after the trip from Sim City, he said I could live in it.
He had an old bed, a fridge, a TV, an old couch and a wooden rooster statue. So I grabbed those and put them on the second floor of the barn. When I went back in the house to grab a snack, Hayseed said that the TV and fridge were broken! Can you believe it? I was surprised, but he said they were fixable, so I couldn't be too upset. I'm just grateful for a place to stay. As I set off to fix the TV and fridge, Uncle Hayseed asked me to tune up his tractor while I was at it, so I said sure. I got to work and could really feel myself improving in the mechanics department.
It ended up taking me all night, but I got everything fixed. Once I finished, I let Uncle Hayseed know. He just gave me more work to do. Said he'd pay me for mowing his lawn with opportunities to increase my pay. So I'll do that, but first I need some sleep.
